Come work with us at our over 230 hectares of tropical forest in one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches and one of the world’s blue zones.
Our volunteer programs vary from Sea Turtle Conservation, Environmental Education, and Wildlife hike patrols. During your stay, you can take advantage and practice surfing or even make a surf class with one of the surf schools operating from our beach.

By offering an environment free of electricity and Wi-Fi, we suggest participants genuinely unplug from their devices and truly experience life off the perks of social media. Allow for the rhythm in you to command and deepen your connection with nature, yourself, and the planet.

Our volunteer program is for environmental enthusiasts who are inspired by experience through hands-on conservation initiatives like sea turtle conservation or Environmental Education working with the children of the Nicoya Peninsula.
The minimum stay for volunteers is five days.
Assistants, a subset of the volunteer workforce, learn to specialize in habitat-sensitive data collection as well as the creation and management of sea turtle nurseries.
The minimum stay for assistants is four months.
Necessary equipment:
Hiking shoes, and comfortable clothing, preferably made of natural fabrics. Insect repellent, sunscreen, cap or hat, linens, or a sleeping bag. For sea turtle patrolling and research, a separate set of dark clothing and a red light flashlight is required.
Our Volunteer Program is open year-round.
Work Schedule Requirements

All volunteers will be required to have a minimum 5-hour work schedule per day. One day off for those who stay more than five days. During the peak hatching phase, plans might be subject to change without notice.

Accommodations!
We provide lodging in a mixed dorm, and we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner; cooked with love by our dearest cook, Antonia, on her wood stove; our food is Costa Rican traditional, and we cater to vegan, vegetarian, or gluten intolerant.
The dorm can accommodate up to 9 volunteers. The home has running drinking water, two showers, and a toilet. For your convenience, we provide lockers (bring your lock) and a safety box for valuables. Volunteers are required to clean up after themselves and treat staff and other fellow volunteers with courtesy and respect; Any volunteer that we feel, is disrespecting our program may be asked to leave without notice.

We believe in teamwork, and the key to success is to treat each other with kindness and respect, clean after yourself, and respect everyone’s differences and similarities. Staff is here to team up with you, not to clean up your stuff.
