How to get to Romelia
You must fly to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO-Juan Santa Maria Intl.)or Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR-Daniel Oduber Intl.) Then you need to drive from there to the town of MONTEZUMA, on the Nicoya Peninsula. Once in Montezuma, you need to walk on the beach some 3 kilometers toward Tambor.

Non-Direct Service to Montezuma
If the direct bus schedule does not suit you, you can also take the Bus from San José to
Puntarenas, which departs every 40 min from the bus terminal at Avd 12, Calle 16.
Once in Puntarenas, you take the Ferry to Paquera. In Paquera, at the ferry terminal,
buses take you to Cobano and Montezuma. The last bus from Paquera is at 6:30 p.m. It meets the ferry departing Puntarenas at 5:00 p.m. If you are on a later ferry, you must take a taxi to Montezuma, which might cost up to $150

By Plane
You need to fly to TAMBOR and from there takes a cab to Montezuma, for

Once in Montezuma, go to the Nya hotel front desk and wait for someone from the refuge to pick you up.
We recommend you don’t get to Montezuma until 4 p.m., as walking at dusk is not recommended. If this happens, we highly recommend you stay at a hostel in Montezuma or San Jose.
